The Hewbrew term “Zachor” means to remember. The Zachor wall at the Jewish Cemetery in Victoria BC includes 11 inscriptions. Each inscription represents one or more names of deceased, family members of members of the Jewish community who want to remember their loved ones. The website of the Jewish Cemetery provides information about the persons lives. While each individual story is different, many are Holocaus survivors or were murdered during the Holocaust.
